Bob Marley is much loved and revered in Ethiopia, his music always takes me back to the month I spent in this incredible, tortured but beautiful country. I met warm, friendly and fiercely resilient people there,. As I sit here and listen to this beautiful song, I can close my eyes and almost see the mist covered highlands at dawn, I can almost smell the earth that I was fortunate enough to trod upon 22 years ago. I believe he avoided schisms but did not know a curse cannot be lifted by fame. It was fame that percisely made him a person of interest. He is a great example of fulfilling a dream but his work has not stopped yet. His insights are still very much alive -- right now! Today.
