In this tutorial, I will show you how to make a card with a heart that twirls to the person who opens it.
This handmade valentine card is made to have fun and impress your loved one. Please follow the step-by-step instructions in the video, if you desire a card with a smooth spinning heart.

Hi there, Yes the card can be closed. When you attach the hearts on the wooden stick, please make sure it is flat when you close the card. Thanks for your interest in the card.

+Canadian-95 OK..If I am correct, what you are after is the distance between each line and the border. They are 0.58 cm, 1.82 cm, 2.83 cm and 4.06 cm. These also apply to the other side, since the card is symmetrical from top to bottom.. so here you go. Another thing is the wood stick has been corrected to be 12.8 cm. Good luck!

I am trying to make this card but the template doesn't match the measurements given unless I'm missing something:) I saw the measurements that you gave to another girl but what I am wondering now is how far down the page is each line that is to be cut. Thanks in advance! You do great work!!

+Canadian-95 Hi there, first of all, please make sure you are printing out templates in landscape not portrait. And the other thing is there was an editing mistake on the wood stick, it should be 12.8 cm instead of 16 cm. This has been noted in the video and description. Let us know which measurements you need to know.

+Canadian-95 OK.. your card seems to be quite large. The card itself is actually in A5 size (14.8 cm x 21 cm), both inner and outer. Have you checked your printer settings?

+sakshi arya Hi sakshi, for the inner card, please try and find paper with 225 gsm in thickness. For the cover, the card with 180 gsm or a bit less can do. They are just normal watercolor pad. Let us know if you have more questions.

+Vaishnavi Koosul Hi Vaishnavi, For the inner card insert, I'd suggest card thickness over 225 gsm to better support the structure. For the hearts and the outer layer card, I recommend 180 gsm or less.

Hi Vinny, it will work if you double the sizes of all elements.

A4 is essentially the double of A5. You can use A4 to do an A5 card. When I designed this card, it was in A5. If you want to create an A4 card, you can go ahead. Just remember to enlarge the template components accordingly.
