I've watched a couple of videos and there seems to be a bit of a crossover when it comes to common vernacular for certain tricks. Why get all bent out of shape? This is a very instructive video. She appears to be very experienced and a patient teacher.

Why would you contemplate getting rid of your precious baton(s)? I just purchased my first baton, and I'm 60 years old, I've always wanted to learn to twirl baton. It helps keep arm hand and wrist strength up, and coordination. I plan on twirling the rest of my days.

@ShePrettyBADD It can be a bit difficult to find a store selling batons, depending where you live. You can check music stores (that sell musical instruments) and dance studios. Some baton twirling teachers/coaches also have batons for purchase. Online you'll find a lot of baton choices. Some companies (like ours) also ship very quickly : ) Good luck!

Hello Brazil, my husband didn't have this in India and I didn't think think it was in my UK school. However, from what I have learned from my children's schools. They are 22 now. This was sad and disappointing to learn but true. The girls participating in this beautiful, fun activity in are actually the reserved group of the most financially well off, most beautiful and most popular. Those "twirling lessons" are paid lessons that the girls attend along with gymnastics and dance to prepare to them for cheerleading at school.

Brian Geans Your height doesn't matter, you need to hold your arms to the side like in a T and have someone measure your arms from your shoulders to your fingertips and you will know your size. Hope this helps.
