I am an engineering student from South Africa who currently only uses his cellphones light whenever I am inspecting sites for projects and it does not do the job, a flashlight like this could genuinely make all the difference and improve the work that I do, such as seeing further, correctly illuminating objects for inspection and classification. I use flashlights daily for inspections. I've missed things not having the proper light. Get yourself a light with various settings and you'll see things you would have missed before. What's weird is, my highest settings are used when it's sunny out because I have the light of the sun that is actually fading out seeing what is not in the sun very close to it. I can 'see' what is in the shaded part but really can't see it as I should. The flashlight has brought out things I would have missed and it's those small details that can mean so much if not caught. I did engineering work for over 20 years and as they say, the devil is in the details. Sometimes what is missed can be very dangerous and costly. Get all the gadgets you need to catch details.

Had a similar situation, always used my tower lights at my workarea, but over time had to inspect allot, wanted a Nitecore tiny monster, but becouse of my toolabuse decided on the cheapestbrightest and it is just a tank, survived the worst. its called the SkyRay King 12x and costed me 25 euro with 4 batterys and a charger. shines like the sun. i dont remember what LED chip is sunlightcolor color accurate but i chose those chips for wire colorcodes and illuminating the drawings .

SRT6i will definitely help me as an outdoor emergency light when I'm out hiking with my friends late at night. With the 4th gen tail cap switch I can switch from 300 lumens mid to 2100 high in an instant to light up whatever that is in front of me, or even use it as a search and rescue light. Currently I'm using p20i so it's definitely gonna be an upgrade for me. From the last part of the video you mentioned that there's also a 40mm diffuser accessory where I'm able to change the light to a floodlight, which opens up more options to use the light. Awesome 👍

This is amazing for basically any role that deals with night shifts. The p23i is an amazing little light and is very easy to work with. The SRT6 could definitely improve my range and also the speed of changing modes, especially with being in law enforcement. i need to improve the time of cycling through the modes. Definitely, Nitecore dominates the field in many aspects. I always watch your videos ever since i saw the one for p20ix. Would love to have this light, but finances don't allow it at this time. I had an earlier SRT that I used for forestry. I think it was the Nitecore Detective model. I needed a light that was easy to adjust in one hand or with gloves on that was bright, but also light to carry because I was mostly on foot and had to carry all my gear. This seems fantastic. I like the fact that it gives me more burn time without overheating.

My SRT6 arrived yesterday. Initial impressions are that the multiple ring positions may be over-engineered for most users, even tactical users. I own 15 Nitecore flashlights, thus far, with my favorite being the p23i. When you need you light quickly under stress too many modes and options can get in the way. The paddle switch, with it's two modes is the best option on the i-series lights for this reason. I also have found that the ring can move out of position slightly and incapacitate the raised button switch on the back. Now that button on my copy also has intermittent problems with not turning on and not turning off. After exercising it with repeated clicks it seems to be more reliable, however I think this is going to be an issue on the SRT6 if there are quality control problems with the tail cap connections. Of course this is only my experience and others may be thoroughly enjoying this light as I see in other comments. Certainly if my problems with the tail cap switch persist I'll reach out to the Nigtecore store where it was purchased. 👍🔦👍

Working in law enforcement and as a first responder/medic. I used my old SRT7 for years and loved it, exactly what I needed: different colors, strobe function and an ultra long throw. I really loved the option to pre-select the mode before turning the light on, selected the desired output when still in its (ESP) holster. I was really bumped when it took one last fall on concrete stones too much. The MH27 became its predecessor, but although most specs were comparable to the SRT7, I never got to the same point of appreciation because of how the controls had to be operated. This new ST6i looks like a welcoming upgrade with the new tailcap operated switches! Much easier to control with one hand with all the switches under your fingertips. The new clip looks useful for ones but for my intended use I really do miss the RGB lights.

looking at the presentation you do on the Nitecore SRT6i I really like it, for the rotating back ring to change the illumination intensity. I need to prepare for the summer hike in the mountains and visiting some villages. Bein stranded in the mountains without a proper flashlight is dangerous. Also walking around the village at night with drunk peasant or hungry bear in no fun either. The 2100 lumens seems reasonable to disorientate a drunk fellow looking to harm you. The tactical mode is quite ingenious. Allowing the flashlight to point up and stand on it's own is also helpful for those times when we are out of electricity and have to play a boardgame in the family. The carbide pins on the bezel and the tactical front bezel is helpful as well for self defense or even in the car for god-forbid-accident.

I'm impressed with this light because the all new tail design is just awesome as go hiking frequently it will help me in switching modes easily and locking it easily so as it will not turn on in my bag because the last time the light turned on in my bag I didn't notice until I got to the campsite and it was out of battery and I didn't bring any spare on me so I had to cancel my plans and go back home, this locking feature helps a lot when I go camping or hiking as it prevents me from turning it on by accident. The one handed operation also helps when I'm holding a map in my hand and the first level is great for reading documents and stuff like that and it is just great to use a flashlight with one hand, I also can use it to blind someone with the strobe mode as they might attack me out of no where and I have the time to escape. It can also help me when I'm at home when the power is out as it could stand on the table. My main light tends to run out and its the brightest one I have at 1100 lumens, its the P10 V2 and my backup is a headlamp I bought a few years ago and its only 200 lumens and can't illuminate the area around me that well. So with the SRT6i I can illuminate the area better when my main light runs out it also has a pretty good range for far distant viewing and also has a pretty go spread for me to see my surroundings clear enough. Personally I think Nitecore is a great brand and I would see them innovating more. Your videos are great and high quality with clear explanation, keep it up!

@@NitecoreSG yeah it only needs about a cm twist to lockout. My P10i kept switching on when I was arresting a non compliant suspect so I experimented with the tail cap and charging when locked out. I really don't get why they don't put that in the manual because it must be designed that way considering it can still be charged even when unscrewed way more that a cm or so even though its locked out. The only problem with the P10i is the little spacers on the holster fell out on the first shift wheb mounted on a duty belt. However, it is very good when attached to a molle vest.

I worked in construction and maintenance. This flashlight can be a big help because first its variable lumens can be great for closeup work and inspection for outdoor. Its tight beam is okay compare to my good old flashlight. It also have a tight beam but you have to adjust the focus. I have a penlight for very low lumen application and this bulky focusing flashlight like the LED Lenser. SRT6i have half press for low lumens and full press for high. Other flashlight I have have this two switch which is tactical. The problem with this is that when its in tactical mode your first defaultis a blinding light. When I am outdoor and going home especially at night I always carry flashlight in tactical mode. That means I have To keep switching to daily mode to tactical mode. With this 2 stage switch you dont have to switch and keep adjusting too hassle to many step. This 2 stage electronic is very good.

Should I replace my trusty MH12S with this one? 🤔🤔🤔🤔. So far, my trusty lights have never disappointed me. Maybe I can use it when raids or long-distance signaling. By far, Nitecore is one of the best tactical light brands you can buy.

In your titles, can you clarify if its a thrower or flooder and if its DUI is tactical or sporting please

I have the Nitecore SRT7i and does anybody know when i plug in the cable to charge the battery in the light, i get10 flashes and a pause and then it flashes 3 times from that little blue light. That's the code. During that time, it will not charge at all. Does anybody know what that means? Is there a fix to get it to charge?

That UI is real unfortunate. Considering the number of fixed lumen output lights already in the market, what set the SRT series apart was the variable brightness. Now it is like every other light out there. I was really looking forward to getting another SRT light.

completely dissagree on one factor; your modes are VISIBLE. I currently have the p20ix + p23i combo (flood and mid range beam) and even though I may not need it, I often wonder what mode I'm on and cycle through them for the hell of it JUST to count the modes! I will do this on any number of lights from any make simply for the fact that there's no "gear indicator" if you will. This like says literally "1... 2... 3..." on it. So it's a matter of glancing back if I feel so inclined rather than doing a full cycle just to be sure I was in "mode 2... or was that 3?" especially when the P23 has 4 fricken daily modes and the P20ix has FIVE... wayyyy too many modes imo. Tac mode brings it down to 4 and 3 respectively for the p23.. My one complaint about nitecore is they crank out lights in such a hurry, you can never truly tell if they're optimizing or just playing the Apple game with their products.

I would say that’s a searchlight with tactical UI. The spill is too narrow.
