I liked the ouidad side better from Day 1 & on. On day 1 it wasn't really obvious, 8f I hadn't been looking I doubt I would have thought one side looked better than the other. I definitely think it held up better. I have tried the weather up a few times & cannot get it to work for me at all. I don't like my original results & whatever managed to show up on day one was gone by the end of the next day. I only used the CC stronger hold once & was really disappointed😑 I don't remember exactly what happened cuz it was like a year ago or more, I just remember not liking it at all. I think maybe I had zero cast & it didn't hold up at all. I had bought the travel size & still have it somewhere. I've been thinking about giving it another try. I love the weather up styling lotion in the black tube, and the moisture locking leave in, which is a spray leave in that's also from the medium moisture line. I worked up the courage to tell the rake and shake after your video on it, & it came out OK, except that it made my less curly patches even less curly than usual, right from the start, when usually they're only slightly less curly but fall pretty quickly. These looked fallen right away. Some of my curlier sections looked even curlier, so the differences got super weird looking. But now that I watched you do a couple sections that way again, I think I was using WAY to small of sections. One thing I did like about it was that it seemed to work better at the back of my head where the cowlicks are. I had to go in w/a brush To fix a couple spots, but usually I have CONSTANTLY redo sections of hair back there due to how wonky it is lol. Using my fingers seemed to help tackle larger sections with minimal redo. Great video as always! Love the in depth reviews! 🥰

I really need to try more twist products. I like the ones that I have tried. Rake and shake definitely works better with bigger sections but I still prefer brush styling for longevity. Thank you for watching and all the comments! Love it!

Great review! I wanted to get a product for the extreme humidity in Cuba, and it’s not an option to try samples for me. I’m worried about the drying effect of gels tho, which one would you say Is better in that sense, the Twist or the red Ouidad one?

I want to love the Ouidad gel but I just can’t get it to work for me. Twist, on the other hand, is one of my favorites.

I didn’t like either of these gels, but when I tried the Ouidad Tress Effects gel, I remember liking it. Do you find the Tress Effects gel to be very different from these two gels?

The Tress Effects is a great gel and one I used for a very long time. it’s my daughter’s favorite! I do find that it is different from these two. Or maybe it’s the best of these two combined? Ot gives me great definition without the initial stringyness I get from climate control and better hold than the weather up.

Yup. We get some rain. Nothing like wha I’m used to after living in Wisconsin for most of my life. There it rains for days. Here it’ll rain for about 5-30 minutes and then back to sunny again. Bone dry is brutal for sure. Thank you for watching!
