In the 1930s, the Pairpoint Glass Corporation introduced a bold new design called "twist glass," consisting of swirled stripes of ruby or deep blue glass and clear crystal. The complicated technique, already used in Sweden, required many stages including cold working. Watch as William Gudenrath demonstrates the technique.

i love this series with William Gudenrath! for all the epic pieces produced in the amphitheater hot shop, its great to see the artistry of glassblowing on a more intimate scale. it's also great to see the 'Voice of CMOG" has some mad skills himself

Your knowledge and skill are amazing. I learn so much and try to duplicate in small crude steps but I imagine it's how we all start. How long have you been working with glass? Thank you so much.

Adding for anyone else reading later, wait till you see the complicated stuff! ( I surely hope you have by now. 😜 Decades of experience no doubt 'help' but this glass blower is truly an artist as well.)
