I do agree that the 'similar songs' arguments are over. After all, the 'FLOWER' and 'IZ' trilogy is also over. So it's like they step out to a brand new concept and show their more mature concept.... I've liked IZ*ONE since debut, but Fiesta and Secret Story of the Swan are absolutely phenomenal in every way and they've become my #1 rookies, both girl and boy groups! The production behind their title tracks is mind blowing! I'm such a fanboy

Their music has always had elements of Big Band/ Marching band and Whimsical Edm which is signature to them. Violeta (triplets high hats) is my favorite song. I see why people say it sounds similar but that their sound you automatically know it's them. Fiesta with Horns. They just keep refining it making it even better and better each comeback. I love the powerful horns and triplets for this comeback.

You're absolutely right about them opening a new door and confidently strut in. Many have not acknowledge IZ*ONE because for them their songs was "soft". You are also right most if not all gg are either cute or crush. But here is IZ*ONE doing and owning their own genre. They always has this certain elegance in their songs, but this one hits very different and it came out really strong yet the elegance is still there. How can a strong song came out classy and elegantly? Ask IZ*ONE. They do the cute and girl crush type on their B side songs, these Queens just put those concepts on their B side.

I like how at night they're wearing white, like the swan queen at night being transformed into a swan at dusk, and then during the day they're wearing coloured clothes that give them a more "mortal" vibe like theyve transformed into humans at dawn (like the swan)

Also, the lyrics are associated with time. Especially during Hitomi and Yujin’s part before the second pre-chorus. This is practically year before their set disbandment. I’m pretty sure less. Hitomi and Yujin talks about forever. That probably Iz*One will forever be in their hearts. That is probably the reason why there is so many clocks and Chaewon hypnotizing. But that’s just my opinion

The only similarities I found from all IZ*ONE discographies are their beautiful Choreographies and synchronization. Their b-side have wide variety music genres. And their duality as K pop and J pop at the same times make this group very versatile. Their album kits very generous too, u can collect bunch of things, the downside is it's getting heavier each comeback.

i think the music video and dance performance they're trying to make this comeback is them telling their story. there's a bit of a theory here. and if u watched the teaser, know their story before this comeback, the 3 month hiatus. oh! and also their comeback performance. it will make much more sense to the mv. the duck symbol, the clocks, the going into the storm, the feathers, etc..also the lyrics esp the rap part. To me its like izone and wizone is saying that they've gone stronger than before. and they've grown. hence the swan. also the title. Secret story of the swan

I think people tend to categorize girl groups in to "cute" and "girl crush" because currently, those seem to be the main two concepts of the active girl groups, though its leaning heavily towards girl crush right now. Girl group concept preferences seems to change over time. Currently, what's trendy is girl crush, the international kpop fans love it more than anything, so a lot of new groups are debuting with girl crush concepts. Prior to that, between 2014-17ish, the cute innocent concept was what's huge. With groups like Twice, Gfriend, Oh My Girl, and so many others at the top and coming out with the much cuter look. But prior to that, between 2010-2014, it was the sexy groups that were huge like Sistar, Miss A, AOA, and Girls Day who were at the top of the charts. The reason why only cute and girl crush are the main two girl group concept right now is because most sexy girl groups have disbanded or aren't active anymore, the cute girl groups of 2015 are still hanging around and the girl crush is still very active. I just get tired of people just shoving girl groups in to 2 or 3 catagories or calling cute girl groups "generic" then that really isn't the case. IDK why I just wrote all that, this is going nowhere. sorry its late Hahah good night

It's almost impossible to mix up iz*one, g-idle, loona, and itzy---concept-wise or music-wise. Or even bp, twice, and rv, they never had any concept in all of their comebacks that overlapped.
