My little concoction is bottled water, aloe vera juice, and my hair growth oil in my mister spray bottle. When I say that's literally all I use to moisturize my hair throughout the week, DATS IT, DATS ALL!! lmao

I feel like it's to much energy to prep twist dry untwist Seperate To much work. I just rock the twists. And my hair tangles unless I stretch it... So many steps

I used to do this all the time when my hair was longer and I used shea butter alot back in the day. It's like you said: if you moisturize properly on wash day then you only need water to reactivate the products throughout the week.

I do this method a lot, all u have to do is moisturize your ends while in the twists. THEN u can go a full week with just spraying with water. So about the 3rd day add a cream to the ends.

Twists outs are my go to and I have done the water twists but chile, I can't be twisting every night! I use bands or scrunchies to maintain, usually 3 days before shampoo and starting the cycle again. Thanks for sharing your products. Will try out sometime!🥰🥰🥰

I like that this worked for you. I used to buy a big aloe leaf from Walmart. I'd cut it up and filet it. Then I'd put it in my blender, strain it, put most of it on my hair, put a small amount in my spray bottle and add water to it. I still sometimes like to do that. But I like that if you moisturize properly on wash day that misting it with water is all that you needed. I would have probably added either jojoba oil (which my hair loves) or Melanin haircare's oil just on the ends.

I'm so lazy with retwisting my hair, but when I do, I do flat twists and a little oil. You made me feel better about the grey hairs I find in my head but I always pull them out >.

I used to do this but a lot chunky and messier and my hair always looked soo nice and voluminous 😂😍 I think I stopped because I couldn’t be bothered but typically my twist outs stay pretty defined for the week.

I normally add a bit of oil to my ends when I retwist using water only. My hair usually responds well as long as I start with well moisturized hair.

Janae I'd like to ask a question. Did you get your perm rods from Amazon? I was about to order some grey perm rods and possibly some pink ones. My Sally's only had one pack of grey ones that had 8 in it. How many does it normally take to do your whole head? And do you have any in particular that you recommend? The city I live in doesn't have any black hair supply stores. So I order things online.

I do this too. The water seems to activate the products already in my hair. Then I use the oil for the take down. I agree this helps to reduce product buildup. But near the end of the week I have to put some sort of cream on my ends cause they get thirsty.

It looked great, but is seems like a lot of manipulation. I only re-twist once and my hair has been holding up. I'm amazed by the Melanin styler, I didn't retwist at all and it still looks decent, tho not with the perfect definition that you have! Now it's time to wash it again.

Hey! I did but with only the tools I showed yall. If I lay on my twist out it would be so flat the next morning. But you see towards the end of the week I decided to band it which it still came out decent.
