I have the shrinkage problem as a 4b/c gal. I typically moisturize right after washing and then put in chunky twists.The next day, I retwist in smaller sections. I do this by spritzing hair with water, adding more product and then twisting. That way my final twist out/ braid out retains more length. :) Your hair came out lovely tho!

Your hair looks good on both sides. I don't have a favorite because both sides came out so well. And I really like that you showed what second day hair looks like. Also I've got to find me a bonnet like that. The bonnet I have is so thin and flimsy.

Sorry! I kept the products out of frame which I know see isn’t useful 😩😂. I applied it after applying the cream. So cream then gel.

I do not have the patience for this 😓. That twisting looks like it would take all day and it doesn’t look crazy different from a 3C/4A wash and go? Is it just me, I don’t know. Wash and gos only take a few hours, most of which is me air drying before I blow dry finish. I have been inpatient with my hair since I was a child and at 32 very little has changed.

Apply heated and preferably diluted. We have the same hair and I’m SURE yours would benefit as well. Heat up some water in the microwave put your leave in conditioner in the bowl/container let it get warm and apply. And yes I do this in the shower as well. As long as it’s heated you DONT have to apply in the shower
