FYI-Sharpie can eat through soak off gel. I discovered this when I did some sharpie art and wanted to remove it. I used non acetone polish remover and it was taking the polish off underneath. Upside is that when I am soaking of gels I can run sharpie over it and it will break down the top layer for a faster soak off

Those are beautiful. I just watched a Chris Thon video in which she used Madam Glam peel off base coat. It also peeled off layers of her nails. Will Unt do this? I cannot use the soak off method. I want to be able to use gel without further harming my nails.

I've used the UNT peel-off base coat under gel polish and it's worked perfectly! Just make sure the base coat is completely dry before using gel on top.

I wanted to look up the ingredients to Madam Glam's base coat, but they wanted me to sign up for something. I find that if a peel off base coat has similar ingredients to glue (i.e. OPI Glitter Off), then, it will peel off layers of my nails with it. :( However, Unt isn't glue, so it works nicely. :) Like Esther street, I would recommend checking out SimplyNailogical. She did a whole video on peel off basecoats and explores these concepts, as well as the effectiveness of the peel. That's why everyone buys Unt, now. It received Christine's approval.

Your poor nail 😣😭😭😭 Before sacrificing it to the nail gods, have you tried saving it with nail glue and a tea bag? I find that it works pretty well, as long as I'm not constantly putting acetone on it.

You need to get some Orly Nail Rescue it will sort that crack right out! It doesn't hurt either, I recommended it to Cristine when she broke her nail on the nail bed, it's good stuff I love it! Love it! How long does gel last over the peel off base coat? I can’t keep regular polish on more than a day with it. I can’t believe you broke a nail! I break one every other day. 😢. A crack like that can be fixed at least. I use nail glue with some acrylic dip powder and it works really well. ♥️

Michelle Bailey It depends on how rough I treat my hands after applying. If I’m just having a normal work week and not too much at home cleaning sometimes I’ll get a week out of them. But if I’m doing a lot of things with my hands a few days. I think it also depends on how many layers, I notice longer wear time when I combine regular polish underneath with gel top coat on top!

you can try using the orly nail repair powder set that you can get at sally beauty supply or amazon. it worked for me when my nail fractured. hope this helps! 👍

I'm using the same UNT peel off base coat, BM gel top coat, and curing lamp but I can never get powder manicures to last. They start popping off within a couple of hours even. Am I missing something? I'm also noticing the BM top coat making little craters almost like it's separating. I remember this happening in a couple of your previous videos but you're still using it, so you must have figured out how to fix that issue. Any suggestions?

Alyssa Ellson UNT works better on a very smooth surface. What I’ve done is do a gel base coat, wipe off tacky layer, add the UNT. Let it dry completely, then add a gel base coat, gel color, etc. I get around a week doing it that way. Hope that helps. Another option that lasts a wee bit longer for me is NYT peep-able base coat off Amazon. Again, I put it over a gel base coat. It smells like Elmer’s Glue but it’s def not, lol.

On your cracked nail, brush it with nail glue underneath the nail right on the crack and then place a tiny piece of a tea bag over the wet glue, covering the crack. Let it dry completely and wait till the crack grows out. Don't cut your nails please!
