Is there a way to clear the whole memory and start from scratch? I know there's the possibility to erase patterns and stuff with Shift+3xRest but pattern chaining and stuff isn't affected by that.

On their website they say it's inspired by the RP2A07-chip. So does this mean that it's in fact a high-quality modern chip that contains sound samples from an old 8-bit chip? So it's just an imitation of the old 8-bit sound? Or does it really contain an 8-bit chip?
@Psychlist19725 жыл бұрын
Almost certainly an emulation. The RP2A07 is huge, requires a bunch of external components, and also can't run off the 2.4v-3v you get from 2 AAA batteries. Not to mention that old processor is not something you can get new. Several other Twisted Electrons products use emulations of old synth chips, so they likely applied that same here.

O.K., Thanks. So you don't get the real thing, it's just an emulation. Just like with the virtual-analog synthesizers, where you can choose a moog-patch or a 303-patch. So it's just samples in the hapiNES. They also have the AY3, these ones seem to do the real thing, because they're using 2 8912-soundchips, so no samples I guess...

HI Rainer & Pete, Thanks for your comments indeed it's an emulation. A modern chip playing wavetables inspired by the NES waveforms (no samples). 4bit actually for the triangle bass, that's what renders the buzzy sound we know and love. Kind regards -Alex

so i have the L version. i cant seem to get patterns to clear themselves. also.....when I MIDI it it will only play one of the waveforms....and wont switch.
@Jonathan_Doe_3 жыл бұрын
Read the manual? I’m guessing it’s setup so each waveform receives from a different midi channel so you might need to send to it on all channels to play them?

Are these discontinued? I'd love this to compliment my pocket operators setup. The L is nice, but looks a little too polished :'D
