M ydaughter recently had a baby gitl. Her son was born 2 1/2 years earlier and she was told she would never be able to have another. To our great delight she became pregnant again. With the joy she felt, she asked me to make her a large R for the baby's first initial and fill it with quilling for her babys room. I am an amatuer quilter at best and was apprehensivel. I have watched as many you tube videos as I could. Yours are exceptional. Not only do you patiently explain every detail, softly, calmly and meticulously, the piece is perfect. I fell the confidence to try. I recently made some of your leaves and this flower, It came out beautifully. I know I can do it thanks to you. With the colors she picked out for her nursery and the matching quilling paper I know she will treasue it. You are a blessing and a true artist. Peace to you, also.

Good morning! I enjoy your tutorials! I have one question…. I noticed you only glue the petal at the end, and none between each layer. Do you experience the petal falling apart once you remove it from the comb or husking board? That has been my experience, so I’ve been gluing each layer, leading to a bulky piece… any tips would be much appreciated ❤
@azlinaabdul2 жыл бұрын
Hello Becky! Good evening to you! I can understand your problem but I guess for me, like how I showed in the video, I don't pull the quilling paper too tight when I do each layer on the comb. When it's too tight, it will be very difficult to remove it from the comb and the petal will fall apart. Another tip, also shown in the video, which is after I remove the petal from the comb, I pinch the part of the petal where the glue is, so that the layers won't move around too much. I hope I'm making some sense here to you.
