Kind of feels off without the freeze missile cheat active. Like freeze missiles (not the energy consuming ones, the cheat code enabled ones) were a core part of darksides strength.

@@boomershooterlegend Agreed, however, if you look at 989 studios' track record, I think there's a case to be made the producers made some lousy decisions if this and its successor are anything to go by. The endings were all kicking dirt in the player's face instead of more thoughtful: poetic justice in some cases and a fool's prize in others. Like the first two. Plus they got rid of innocent bystanders which had been present in the previous games, so you know corporate was starting to water it down. I'm sure somebody was in their ears, be it the censorship committees or their sponsors. At the very least it didn't make sense to restrict Darkside: He was a playable character before, and wasn't the final boss. You could argue technicalities, but it would at least be consistent if the final boss for each was the only inaccessible, non-playable character.

​@alzera My theory is that they couldn't get the characters or ending cinematics for Darkside and Primeval done in time and rather than just have no endings for the characters, they just made them Unplayable. That's my assumption I'm not saying this would be a good reason if it was true, I'm just saying it would be a reason

I never thought to push Primeval off as a kid. Took me forever to kill that SOB... Got lucky and exploded him out of the blimp with a remote one time.

With 2 players is easy AF 🤣 Just bait him by each player being in each corner by the opening, freezer em and push him. With Thumper is the easiest because of the Sonic Wave
