As someone who never played the game series, I really enjoyed it. There was humour, drama, intrigue, suspense, shock, "justice" and redemption with an interesting set up if there's a season 2. I also liked the soundtrack and time jumping showing the origins of each character. I wished I had fast forwarded through the dog scene though and I loved the poetry of Stone's death.

Calypso appears but in voice only However the last episode was more or less a big vehicle battle But the ending of the first season seems to indicate season 2 is gonna be more arena vehicle combat and they even mention Calypso is gonna start a contest and that the winner gets anything they want etc So yeah season 1 is basically character introductions etc and the last episode was a arena vehicle fight in a large portion of it And if they keep that up in season 2 I am definitely gonna watch more
