My family was broke in the 2000s so I had a ps1 when everyone was on ps3, mom wouldn't let me play any other Twisted Metal Games aside from small brawl, so I grew up on this game and soundtrack lol

hands down the best of the best soundtracks. this game isn't my favorite, but being one of the noisiest games in the entire arcade, i had to look up time and again from my resident evil 1 just to see what's making all that energy, at the time i could swear the glass of the windows were vibrating every time someone chucks in a twisted metal 2 cd, this song does to my ears what a nubile pretty naked girl does to my eyes, i'm fixated.

The way my memory serves me, Small Brawl was an interesting concept in its own right with more landscape variety to the maps compared to the more spread out ones in the originals. Not to mention full FMV cutscenes that every other main entry (not considering 3 or 4) just never committed to. I enjoyed the idea of the classic vehicles as RC cars. Black is still the best TM game though.

You shitting me? I love Small Brawl. It’s just that TM doesn’t create that many memorable original songs. Usually one or two per game. The SB soundtrack as a whole is fantastic, though.

Honestly I remember being introduced to this as a kid and loved it the soundtrack was good and the charicters unlocks were wacky. If this got a sequel to when the kids were a grade older meaning another competition I would be all over it.

I think you’re looking too much into it. When David Jaffe first made the series it went through a bunch of name changes. “Battle Cars” was the original name. And the live action endings cut from the first game call the event “High Octance,” “Twisted Metal” is just how someone would describe car wreck. “His car rolled over so much it ended up as a mangled mess of broken glass and twisted metal.”
