Just rode Twisted Timbers 2x last week. What a spectacular success! Love the entire layout of this coaster. The triple airtime hills are monsters. The only negative I'll mention is that the operations were very slow. I was considering a 3rd go around, but didn't want to mess around with the loading up again. There is a system where they have you wait to go through a metal detector and tell them if you have things in your pocket. They give out a red card if you have phones and stuff to put in the zip bag inside the cart (which is nice) and a green card if you are clean. This seems to take far too long and there were times where it took 4-5 min to load each train. When you are waiting for 10 trains that's 40-50 min that would be 10-15 on other coasters. That was a downer and I hope they get that smoothed over soon. That said, the coaster itself is just awesome. I'll be sure to ride it every time I'm at KD!

They still do all the metal detector stuff, but only give out red cards now (no green cards). Makes no sense as you can just discard the red card to be immediately "clean".

I was able to get on this ride last weekend and I must say it took me by COMPLETE surprise! It literally served up one two punches every few seconds either with airtime hills or inversions! Even with all of the chaos of the ride, it was so smooth and comfortable-just a lot of disorienting twists and turns. This ride definitely gets 5 stars from me!

Ouch, yeah we only rode it during media day, first thing during opening day and last trains of the night on preview night and opening day. Went and rode other rides as we knew that people would go to Twisted first leaving everything else as a walk on but surprisingly the park was very empty for an opening day.

I love everything about this ride. Repurposing the Hurlers skeleton and layout, the theming in and around the station, the airtime, high speed turns, restraints, and how smooth Twisted Timbers is (especially compared to the Hurler). The easiest way to describe this ride is that it spends the ENTIRE time trying to throw you from your seat and the train. The only complaint I have is the final brake run before entering the station. This didn’t happen on just one day. I went at least once a week for 2 months and it was malfunctioning every time. They could only run one train because of the issue. Every 3 or so trains would overshoot the last brake run and cause a reset on the ride. Maintenance had to be called to physically push the loaded train back into the station, then they unloaded the train and ran it once empty. It wasn’t a long process but having to sit through it all 4 times for one ride was excessive. Maintenance wasn’t even leaving the ride at this point. Just waiting for it to break down again. Has RMC or KD made changed to the brake run? How is the brake run now?

Wow. That is one solid RMC, I could almost feel the airtime on those hills from here. Although it does look like it kinda crawls a bit during the last roll, but other than that I think this is one fine ride.

Xavier Olivas Keep in mind that this is on a 40 degree day on an empty train. Look up a reverse POV and this thing was hauling through the entire layout - just imagine how fast this will be in the summer

I went on Twisting Timbers last August, which was the second time I had gone to Kings Dominion that year, and I loved it! It certainly earned its name.

2020 was the first year in 30 years that I didn't ride at least one coaster. Got to Kings Dominion today - hadn't been there in 20 years - rode the two woodies first, I almost cried riding Grizzly first after such a crazy year, and loved Rebel Yell (yeah, Racer whatever) even more than I remembered it. But we rode Twisted Timbers twice in a row, it was THAT good. It's only the second RMC hybrid we've been on after Wicked Cyclone, and man - this coaster delivered in airtime! What a fantastic ride, we could have ridden that all day!

Man this roller coaster is so intense and never let's up. Few times I thought I was gonna come out my seat, boobs popped out a few times but man this is my favorite roller coaster after the dominator. Great addition to the park!!!

For some reason i find it really satisfying when a coaster uses all of its build op speed and doesnt need that much brakes at the end, the designers did a good job there! And yes.. i want to ride it.

I rode this, and it is extremely underrated. I had an amazing time riding this coaster and I think it is a really good coaster. If it weren’t for Steel Vengeance, this coaster would probably be one of the best Hybrid Coaster out there. Definetely recommend

The great thing about this ride is that because of the kind of tracks it uses and the way the ride vehicle is secured to it, it can still operate safely in the rain. And let me tell you, riding a roller coaster in the rain makes it 10x more enjoyable and intense I highly recommend it

This is a slow POV compared to how it runs now.. and just got back from CP... i must say.. somehow this ride is better than Steel Vengeance in some ways lol. It is only beaten in that Steel Vengeance has more elements that this one doesnt get to feature... for me the zero g roll into the turn under the lift, huge drops, and the wave turn... But somehow Twisted Timbers feels more relentless and despite having less total airtime... the airtime feels more relentless and more frequently strong... If you cant get yourself to CP and are only home to Virginia, be proud to be so close to this thing.. its small but packs a punch!
