Twisted tubular herringbone is a lot easier than you think! This twisted tubular herringbone stitch tutorial video shows you how to "do the twist" and then how to end the tube cleanly. Then I finish it off with an end cone and clasp! Also, visit me at www.beadedjewel...

I'm hooked, so to speak. I will never be able to do what you do because of many different issues I have, but the artist in me so loves to see talented hands at work. I love the way you detailed the perfect ending to this cute spiral stitch. Thanks again for the videos.

There is one caution that I always do. I do not use my thread coming out of the stitch. I finish of that thread before adding the end cap. I then use a different thread weave it in and attach my cone and clasp. I do this with all my projects so that if anything happens to the attached clasp my work is still stable if I want to change or renew it.

thank you Miss G for making sense of this stitch! I have just started the tubular and tubular swirl madness! Out of the I love herringbone one the best. Your preferences? I am using 11/0 czech SB. They are stacking like legos!!! Glory!!

It does sometimes take awhile with this stitch, but it is a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. :)

Hi, I've found that if I go up 2 down 1 the threads are hardly seen. Try it! 😊

What size are the beads you used for this bracelet? I love this but the herringbone intimidates me but I think I'll give it a try. Thank you for sharing.

Deborah Matthews Thanks for your question. :) I am using size 8 seed beads in this video. Don't let herringbone intimidate you; it's probably easier than you think. Have a "beadiful" day! :D

Deborah Matthews I hope you've tried this one by now. I have to agree with BJD that it's probably easier than it looks. It's one of my favorite stitches.

Actually, I have a question. I just learned to do tubular twisted herringbone with only 3 bead columns. (3 bead ladder stitched in a circle, and herringbone starts from there)... I am wondering if there is an odd count herringbone stitch, (if it is the same stitch as I used for my 3 bead...). I used this stitch with 11/0, and the rope comes out to be about 1/4 in diameter (the right diameter for a pendant I want to hang on it). If there is an odd count herringbone stitch, with more than 3 bead base... like 5, or 7... would it have any advantages / benefits over an Even Count Twisted Tubular Herringbone? Like using odd count peyote for centering purposes. Thank you

+VeeFromSpicy Hi! I am not sure what you mean by an odd count of herringbone -- do you mean three pairs of beads, or three beads total? (I assume you mean three pairs, but wanted to be sure.) But no, I can't see any particular advantage, when it comes to tubular herringbone, whether it be an odd number of columns versus an even number. :)

+Beaded Jewelry Diva Hello, and thank you for your quick response. Would love to clarify... I actually used 3 beads (not 3 pairs of beads), and now I already tried it with 5 beads (2 pairs = 4 beads + 1 bead; or 2 sets of columns + 1/2 of column) the reason for using just 3, is the diameter of the rope. I had a pendant with a narrow "bail", needed a "thinner" rope. I didn't see any advantages, accept for the diameter, wanted another opinion. Thank you!

can you put the length of thread u are using
@beadedjewelrydiva
@beadedjewelrydiva 8 жыл бұрын
Hi Allyson, the length of thread you use while stitching is whatever you feel comfortable with. I usually use about 6 feet at a time (except on camera) when using Fireline. If I am using something like One-G or K-O, I may only use about 4 feet at a time because the threads can fray too much otherwise. How much thread you need will depend on the size of your bracelet -- 6 feet would probably work for a 6.5 inch bracelet. Hope this helps!

Hi! I didn't want to make it a super-long video, and the Bead Embroidery 101 video had the basics of how to do it.
