However, these two cultures are very distinct. This is where the problem lies. One treats women like objects and the other doesn't. One has different social norms than the other. These two cultures are too distinct and thus assimilation can not occur peacefully. There are two options: assimilate into the dominant culture or get out. Otherwise, violence will occur. I for one am on the home country's side on this one.
