I'm looking forward to Darkside Chronicles, they really improved the shooting and targeting so it's much more enjoyable. I also love the prequel story with Leon and Krauser in Darkside. Hooray for more RE content (despite Ray not enjoying the series very much 😉)!

Oddly, even though chat says early on that he sounds like store-brand Wesker, it is actually DC Douglas, the same VA from RE5, doing Wesker's voice here. It is his first time in the role, though, so he probably hadn't really "found" his Wesker voice quite yet.

It's kind of wild seeing updated (at the time, anyway) environments from RE2 and RE3 like the police station years before those games got the full on remake treatment.

Perfect timing, Just finished the first RE book which might surprise some people but yes, this series actually has a novelization all the way from 0 - CV. And yes they can be just as cheesy as the games and read almost like playing them, better adaptations than what any film has done at least.

The books are pretty awesome, definitely recommend to any that enjoy the series. There are even two extra stories that aren't in any games.

@@TheNo1pencil most of the books have the same title as the game except for the 2 new ones. The author was S.D. Perry if I remember right. It starts at zero and covers 1, 2, 3, and CV plus the 2 untold stories. The extra stories I don't remeber the name but it should be easy enough to find with the author's name and the Resident Evil title.

IIRC, Outbreak supports 3-4 players so it'd be possible to drag Andy in for more RE fun. Edit: in regards to the smaller lickers in the RE 3 section, them and most assets for it like zombie models and backgrounds were taken from the Outbreak games.

If you'll indulge me being a massive nerd for a moment at the 3:58:00 mark, the Striker is a real gun and was originally called the street sweeper. I believe it was meant to be used for riot control in south Africa. It would've been imported to America but the people in charge said "name scary, gun look scary, ban plz"

Darkside Chronicles makes Krauser a little bit less random in RE4 and does an excellent retelling of Code Veronica X. I definitely recommend it and hope you play it.

I've been on a resident evil binging mood and these have been great Ray. From Code Veronica, Revelations 1, and Dead Aim have all been a blast. Hope you keep going with the other older games and I vote for darkside chronicles please!

Crits actually aren't random...sorta. For most zombies the crit spot is the area around the forehead and slightly above it. The reticle flashes red to pop a zombies head. Also reload cancel shotgun is op.

Here's hoping Ray gives Operation Raccoon City a playthrough. It may be a third person shooter, but it's got some good references here and there and is pretty fun overall, even if it's basically as far away from standard RE as you could get.

Great play though as always but how did you get the Wii to stop auto centering? Everytime I try to play this I can't get the setting right in dolphin to stop the centering and it drives me nuts

So I got this game on the Wii as it was on sale on the eshop, and it’s a decent game, definitely meant to be played 2 player mode (except for the automatic 1 player campaigns that can become 2 player after beating all of the campaigns for some reason) but it is hard to maintain a steady hand on the Wii. Also for some reason, the amount of critical hits needed for S ranks are too high of a demand.
