@@SilverDono that was actually broken one time. They made a card called “That grass looks greener” so you could make your deck size match your opponent by putting cards into graveyard off the top. So you got a massive graveyard for free. Card was banned quickly.

Would like to add that grass is really helped with left arm offering which allow 60 card deck to tutor it.... just like how druid can use 40 card deck just fine thanks to their tutor in coldtooth mine.

I haven’t tried it yet, but I think renathal is prob better in wild than in standard since there’s so many cards that do basically the same thing in wild, which can offset some of the inconsistency from playing a 40 card deck.

It depends on the deck. In Controldecks the additional 10 Life are really good. But in most other decks its a bad card. Same as many other very specific legendarys also where not for every deck.

@@drakmendoa but Controldecks also need to draw their removal on time which Renathal makes harder. And clearing the board 1 turn earlier or more efficiently will often save you more than 10 health. Even in Controldecks Renathal is only sometimes worth.

Relics seem pretty bad. They’re slow to ramp up and really inefficient until after a few activations, at which point I guess they kind of become mana-neutral for playing bad cards earlier? Of course, it helps if you can actually draw them and not have 10 extra cards in your deck.

The relics are just bad. The deck would be.... bad, even at 40 cards, but the relics are the hindrance honestly. Face DH often runs out of cards, so the extra 10 might be able to pull out a win against successful control decks. Summoning minions with no keywords, dealing damage to enemy minions indiscriminately, and drawing -bad- cards probably isn't what DH wants to do. The relic minions should have rush at the very least. I don't play this shit anymore, but I imagine that Defender of Argus is probably decent if he's actually in standard right now. I mean, as decent as a relic deck can be, that is. You really just need a lot of stall(taunts, healing, removal)to get to the end game, and I'm surprised that not even Thalnos is put in the deck. Plus, he needs a way to deal with big targets with keywords.

Running Renethal at all just seems insane to me. Like, just look at any other card game--most of them let you put any number of cards in your deck above a certain minimum, but nobody ever seriously does this no matter what archetype they run. Renethal requiring you to increase your deck size by 33%? No thanks, I can deal with having 30 health and getting my defensive cards more often. The only time it makes "sense" is when you're playing a deck that has no specific plan, a concept that has, uh, issues.
