This is hilarious to me because believe it or not this kind of Chase happened outside my house a few years ago someone on a four-wheeler and like 7 or so cop cars chasing them around 4 blocks in a circle. They didn't want to pit maneuver them so they rode out his gas.

Steve Mack Productions literally everyone drives away or instantly shoots which shouldn’t be how it is that’s not realistic at all, also when people are jailed as soon as they’re released they go back to doing crimes that’s not very fun at all, there’s a recent clip where someone puts down their gun and the cops all laugh and say that’s the first time I’ve seen that for a LONG time, it’s fail rp when they’re pointing tasers at an old man, this is why cops shoot earlier they can’t be bothered having a useless 10 minute convo all for nothing every time just for criminals to shoot or run

Are you talking about in a chase or just driving around? In a chase that's silly, it's a police chase, they don't have to abide by traffic law while also avoiding creating even more chaos. And in driving around, considering that are cops that give out tickets for the tiniest of mistake even tho the GTA5 engine was never built for safe driving yea I'd agree that either those can't be given out or at least they themselves need perfect driving as well

I wouldn't say follow traffic laws but they should definitely not do what they're doing. I'd say easily in >80% of police chases (involving crimes with no real danger) cops end up doing something grossly stupid like driving up stairs and overturning their vehicle ramming several civilians etc. They just don't understand that their whole job in a situation like this is to prevent a collision no.1 and apprehend criminal no.2. Plus it's 100x times better for rp to see cops trying to block off an alley and trap a criminal instead of just trying to drive through everything.
