Honestly, I feel like we are being too kind to trans people. You can't criticize them without being called transphobic. I feel like thats one of the reasons there is transphobia in this world, because of course you would get angry at a person who is immune to any criticisim. People accept gay people as people because we treat them LIKE people, not like gods above our human words. There is a reason why there is so much transphobic hate and a bit less homophobia in recent ages.

Honestly, I feel like we should be kinder. Not to Keffals, of course, but to trans people as a collective. Similarly, this is what happened to the gay rights movement as well, it took nearly half a century for gay marriage to be legalized in the US. People viewed Stonewall rioters like zealots for quite a while, similar to how trans activism is viewed. Hell, iirc there were some scandals here and there. Many trans people wish it wasn't like this, either.
