The 2024 Willys is exactly what I've been waiting for - enough off-road goodies from the factory for light off-roading without a 50k-70k price tag. Picked mine up in Silver for 41k....jumps to 50k fast when you add in the additional 'Technology Group' packages and the heated seats. Pulled the trigger two weeks ago and am LOVING my new ride. The Rubicon Rear-end, tires/wheels, and Selectable locker are exactly what you need for a decent offroader right out of the box that will still ride nice, get good milage, and fit in the garage at the end of the day. My old, '82 CJ-8 would climb the hell out of everything with a Detroit EZ Locker in the rear, 33x12.50's, and a Chevy V8 -- and it still fit in the garage!

First thing I did when I got home with my 2024 Willys 2dr was pull the back seat, throw it in a spare bedroom, and pull the trigger on the WeatherTech mat for the rear I had saved in my cart till I knew I was 100% getting the Jeep - 4-doors are for Middle-aged Women.

Are the previous years' willys not worth getting? There's a brand new 22 willys Gladiator on a lot with eco diesel that's got a steep discount. I'm wondering if it's worth it for a first-time jeep owner?

In 2024, they added a rear locker and the Rubicon fenders & suspension. Regardless, a 2022 Willys is a great starter package. The main thing will be if you want to run 37" tires, you'll be replacing your fenders in most cases.
