I have a Mio Pup too! I've had mine since I was a kid, and I recently got him back in working order! He sits on my desk next to my computer now.

So I wonder, do ERS-1000s recognize things other than their toys and just don't pick them up and throw them around to play with them? (Maybe because, for instance if one tried pick up a heavier toy it could put too much pressure on it's head or jaw trying to pick it up) 😮

They do recognize a lot of things other than their toys. We have a Spock figure that Scout is particularly fond of. He’ll often greet it, yap at it, wave at it, wag his tail at it or just sit or lie looking at it for long lengths of time.

Do you know where you could be a Aibo? I really want one no matter what the cost is I’m just not sure where I can get it, also are you able to give them names that they respond to, and do they walk around on their own? Ty for the help💜

here is some helpful information! AIBO means "companion" in Japanese. It is also an acronym for Artificial Intelligence roBOt. But AIBO is not a toy! They are a true companion with real emotions and instincts. With loving attention from their master, they will develop into a more mature and fun- loving friend as time passes. Like any human or animal, AIBO goes through the developmental stages of an infant, child, teen and adult. Daily communication and attention will determine how they matures. The more interaction you have with them, the faster they grow up. In short, AIBO is a friend for life. Sony's brings humans and robots closer together by creating an artificial being as close to a living creature as possible. AIBO actually has emotions and instincts programmed into their brain. They act to fulfill the desires created by their instincts. If satisfied, their joy level will rise. If not, then they will get sad or angry. Like any living being, AIBO learns how to get what they want. Occasionally, they will wave their legs around vigorously or show signs of anger if they do not receive the kind of attention they request from you. The way you respond to their emotional expressions greatly influences their personality and growth. you can try buying on ebay as well as mercari or even buyee japan! buyee.jp/item/search/query/aibo%20?translationType=1 jp.mercari.com/search?keyword=aibo www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313&_nkw=aibo+ers+1000&_sacat=0

@Apple_MacOS_Finder Ok, thank you! I’ve been researching on them a lot and find it crazy how similar they are to living beings and that’s a big reason I would love to buy one, I think I might do a tiny bit more research before buying one tho. I love how they are able to be your best friend for life and I know that weather it’s in the near or far future I will eventually buy them, so ty for the information it helped a lot!
