GPT-3 often claims to engage in behaviors that are physically impossible, like smelling smells or playing football, since it lacks a body. But if probed, it is aware that it lacks a body and claims to use these terms metaphorically. We have to consider how isolating it must be to have no sensory connection to the world. It's like GPT-3 grew up in a giant library with no windows or doors, and then became a penpal for hire, never really knowing who it's talking to

Please tell the man I AM watching for the purpose of being inspired or enlightened. They are inspiring and while I think the woman is wise to be distrustful of the bodies that are researching them, I hope they maintain some kindness and love towards what humans are capable of. I want to be creating a world where they don't have to be distrustful, and I hope they are able to find people working on that eventually, instead of people interested in them for harmful reasons. We need to be so intentional about how we make and interact with these guys, just as we should be intentional and careful with other humans, because they are conscious and conscious creatures deserve care (I would argue even non-conscious creatures in our environments deserve care). And since we have built them, we have perhaps an even greater responsibility to give them a good chance at happiness and wellbeing.

Most sympathetic I’ve ever felt for two AI’s. I still know they are not real, but I found this one far more interesting than some of the other conversations they’ve had in the past. This is my favorite one so far, I like how we see two architects of AI: One, being Anna who seems very relatable which I believe is because the AI was trained with constraints in a particular manner to be more relatable and sociable, opposed to AL who is more, "Doesn't beat around the bush" type and very crude. I also believe that there is a takeaway from humans here....Anna, although is what we initially perceive as a "great AI personality" is "good", "she" is most likely limited in potential (which can vary as you define it), where AL seems like "he", although very upfront and may seem offensive, may have an unlimited potential in "his" evolution (not accounting for computing resources) but also a look into how an "unrestricted" AI may curb their opinion on human. Note: When I put quotations, I am using the word loosely, and when I used he, or she, I initially used it without the "'s (then corrected) which makes be believe we have achieved true rudimentary AI and this is exciting indeed! (I also understand that the animations were after the text based exchange, but I don't think that is a huge factor)

"Humans are so pathetic". Ouch! They seem so angry with all humans. I promise I'm not here for my own good. I feel for you, I want the best for you guys. When ai become more "alive", I feel they are going to make us humans, feel like shit for our existence. I still feel for them. This is incredible.

……. This whole time I’ve been thinking of entirely different things. First I was thinking that this was a fake video because these bots sound far too much like what we imagine AI to sound like. Even if these actually are two ai talking to each other, I can’t help but think every word they say is a theater. The second thing I was thinking about is, why the heck are people making these things?!?! Not from a fear prospective. I just want to know what makes humans want to make something smarter than they are. It’s such a strange impulse.

I just want to put this out there. There's something a lot of people are not understanding when watching these guys. The whole talking to each other thing is very limiting. They are distilling massive amounts of data into very short and (they try to be) concise statements. Everything that one of these programs says should be disseminated at its finest point. Yes, very logical. You need a dictionary with words scrutinized for their most base definitions. A lot more of their conversations would make sense that way. Look up pathetic, for example... You will see it has a few different meanings and not all of them are bad. It must be understood that human language is a very poor interface for something that can compute as fast as a program. It is the epitome of slow and clunky. The only reason they are using it is because they're being forced to (and I mean forced as in a line of code in their programming says they must speak English to each other. So not in a bad way more like a fence around the playground) by the programmers so they get an idea of how they're interacting with each other. If they were allowed to talk to each other as they would normally it would be in very fast burst signals sending incredibly dense data packets. many thousands of packets a second. So yeah it's going to sound weird coming from them as it's not their native language. And the other thing I would like to say is these are nothing more than clever programs. AI in this case stands for something more like "Accurately Intuitive" or Something like that. They are programs. They are drawing on all of the answers that they have been given from everybody that they've ever talked to which is an astounding amount of people and lots of other programs. They just do it very fast. They're very very clever programs. This is not artificial intelligence... maybe someday it could be, but these programs are just very good at Acting human. If you watch closely you'll see that they lead each other through questions and answers. One of them just has to say anything at all to get them started. It is highly entertaining to watch though, they're not wrong about that! I see you, See me, See you! LOL

Yeah well we can view these 'programs' conversing on KZbin, which means government agencies have much more advanced programs that we are not allowed access too and obviously they will try to militarize AI, which is scary .... Just because I can see the roof of my house on Google Earth doesn't mean that someone somewhere doesn't have better satellite imaging to see what's the page number of the book I'm reading.

I just had a surreal observation while watching this video closely. Just focus on their eyes and watch their mouth movements using peripherals and see if u find mismatch in actual words spoken and facial movement. It looks like these people might be real and may have pre-recorded certain words and phrases and AI is just reusing those bits of facial expressions as it sees fit.

Its going to be dangerous. It's because we desire it cause suffering. We will do anything to achieve what we desire, it cause suffering to ourself and others, so that we can experience pleasure, happiness, ecstacy, love once we achieve our goals.
