Surprising I understand is a solid communication quirk, where similar things to this video do happen. But what I like is that Charile, while hes mostly kinda just saying it because he wants to appear like hes listening, while not listening. But hes actually listening and unironically understands what she is saying. Like hes saying it to not try too hard, but he also is paying enough attention to tell Allen what shes going on about. Great acting from Judith and Charlie

I agree, watching season 1 now and it's actually so good. The characters were so likeable in the earlier seasons and had many good qualities, jokes were funny and there were alot of great lines and funny situations. All went downhill once Jake got older, he was not funny and likeable anymore, Alan become an annoying pathetic mess and Charlie was not the same anymore after this.
