We hit Deek Creek and even though the fishing was slow we caught some 2 to 3 pound rainbow trout. Used my vintage Zebco 20/30 and Mohawk rod.

I have been a subscriber for quite a while but generally don't give comments. We enjoy the vintage reels and have learned quite a lot watching your service videos because we also favor using the Zebco reels(we also have several Johnsons). Just thought i'd chime in this time since those were some especially nice fish! Enjoyed the show!

Thank you. Zebco's are great reels and very underrated.

I want to know why do you use spincast reels all the time?
@OutFishing13MatthewАй бұрын
@@ShellcackerFisherman That is a great question. Simplicity and reliability. I grew up with a spinning reel in my hand. I never even knew what a spincast reel was. However, I did have problems once in a while, like birds nest or backlash, not so much when I was older, but when I was a kid. So when my boys were interested in fishing, I bought a couple of Diawa SC 120 spincast combos so they had something easy to use. I just grew to love how reliable they were and easy to fish with. I found myself reaching for them more often when I was going fishing with a lure, bait or from shore. Then I started getting Zebcos and wanted to get the older vintage ones. I had to service them and started making videos, since there were very few out there. Now I just love them. I still fish with bait casters and troll with them all the time. Abu Ambassadeurs are my favorite.

I went to Nassau Sound in Fernandina Florida with 6 vintage 404 zebcos and had a great time catching Whiting.🎉 love the video.

Good lookin' fishies, Matthew! I have only caught a few small bass this year so far. Nothing on the Zebco Bullet size 2 though. Love that smaller bullet so far. Need to catch a fish on it! Bob

i need to get the small bullet still. Thanks for commenting.

We sure did. It took some patience, but we got some. We have had better days, but this was still fun.

Do you guys park near the dam and walk by the tracks to get to that side of the reservoir? I didn't realize there was a road that went over there, but i haven't been up there in quite some time. Looks like a good time though!

Yes. There is a parking lot and a trail along the tracks.
