I’ve got a mom and I believe a male that live in the woods behind my house and I got a nice picture of mama but she was near her nest so she didn’t like me coming to close but this is what I hear all night and occasionally throughout the day, it’s so peaceful and these owls are such a beautiful creation

Yes, also in Jax- we have a pair in our backyard. We were Hooting back and forth with them last night and they landed no more then 20 feet away from us to see what all hooting was about. It was beautiful!

I was at my log cabin years ago, think it was Jan. or Feb. My place is DEEP in the woods, pitch black out and I hear RIGHT ABOVE MY HEAD what sounded like a huge baboon. I ran inside!!! Amazing sounds all from an owl!

We went camping one year and three of these owls talking to each other surrounding our camp. Issue was we had no clue this was an owl. Without experience in animal sounds it literally sounded like a howl more then a BIRD. To say we were freaked out is an understatement as one sounded like it was right behind our tent. I was sure we were supper.

As a child I knew what made that noise, but if I heard them coming home at night from my grandparents house down the road, I'd run the rest of the way. To my ears it sounded like a child screaming. My imagination did the rest. You guys had the disadvantage of not knowing. But you've got to be a real city slicker not to recognize an owl's hoot, lol! I'm sorry...I'll quit laughing now.

I was a newbie to camping and thought it was a coyote...and then we felt surrounded by them..so I thought coyotes were surrounding us... Then at home a year later I heard it again and looked it up. I have this overwhelming love for barred owls and I don't know why but I saw one in my yard one day when I got back from vacation and I heard him hooting at first and then I was walking. I just looked up and there he was right in front of me staring at me and he saw me and it was like he was staring right in my soul and from then on I go out there every night to see him and sometimes he lets me see him and sometimes he doesn't

I've heard Bards all my life living in Oklahoma, but I never heard more than one until a few nights ago. That night i heard a Bard hooting and I pulled my phone out to record it and then i heard some psycho murderous monkey fight calls and it freaked me out enough that I walked very fastly into the house. After uploading those satanic animal sounds to google I found out that it was Bard owls talking to each other. So tonight tried to use this video to mess with the bard that lives in my trees so I could record a clearer version of their horror calls and it didn't work. But thanks for this video so I can at least prove to people that the devil murder birds were not just in my head.

I goo out every night and call my barred owls in from our woods,they saved my depression I was in from a severe car accident 6 years ago I suffered on my way to work,doing great now,walking and took me 4 years to see them and their routine u can set your watch by them! Around9 9:30. I live in a suburbs 3 houses in cul-d-sac my back yard opens to the woods and a Creek.it’s like a game hide and seek,but they go to same branches every time I have watermaple trees about 50 years old, so I’m surrounded by the woods.

I was trying to fall asleep and I had my window open the I heard this sound over and over from outside. I originally thought it was like a human yelling or something but then I went to look out my window and there’s woods in my back yard. I kept hearing this sound and of course the first thing that came to mind was that a human was making dog noises to get someone to go into the woods and kill them. But it just turns out it was an owl and I wasn’t gonna get murdered. So now I feel stupid lol but I’d just thought I’d share
