On reloading: there's a good reason for that, and it actually directly counters your problem with it. The idea is that you're working with a team, and when you shout "reloading" your partner starts to fire while you reload. Then you wait and you don't START firing until you hear "reloading". Repeat ad nauseam.

JMcoolfriendlyguy Also reminds me of the trick soldiers used in WW2 with the M1's with pulling the charging handle back to release the clip and it makes that ping sound but they keep their thumb over the clip to slide it back in to trick the enemy into advancing believing they are reloading.

I remember hearing that back when rifles had to be front loaded, theyd have rows of soldiers taking turns reloading and shooting. Just so theyd be constantly firing instead of having everyone not shoot for a while and risk getting overrun.

6:10 no, pat- the purpose of yelling 'reloading' is to tell your allies not to reload right now and instead amp up their cover fire. That way, you don't get a situation where everyone is reloading at the same time, which the enemy could REALLY take advantage of. Instead, you guys take turns so one guy is reloading and the other guy is making a hail of bullets so the other side can't close in. How about a monster hunter comparison- imagine two characters both have big weapons that have a guaranteed stun after they do a charge. So they tag team the monster so that one guy stuns the monster long enough for the other guy to charge their attack. And they just trade back and forth like that until the monster is dead.

Pat should be happy for what this game has. In Warframe, The bullets don't actually come out of your 3rd person character but rather out of your line of sight as the player via the reticle and sometimes you'll have a scenario when an enemy tries to melee you from behind, you blow them away because the pulleds are essentially shooting from behind your character, forward. If that shortcut in game design was applied to this game, any time an ally walked into Pat's LOS, they would get hosed.

In a firefight you are supposed to control the number of rounds you shoot and announce when you are reloading so that you don't all end up reloading at the same time. That way there is a constant stream of bullets from your position that prevent you from getting rushed.

I like how they are shot directly in the head and stomach many times each battle, yet the plot is now that Faye needs urgent medical attention and is fainting because a bullet strafed her arm. Must have been coated in poison. Also, it's a really good thing for the story to have your heroes bone, cause now there are real personal stakes for our main character. It's the one thing Pacific Rim did wrong, being an otherwise awesome movie, the blue balls angle just doesn't cut it imo.
