This is the part where my Uncle gave me this game and told me, "I'm having trouble with this part of this game." and then babby-me was like "I never played this game before." and my uncle left the door and said "See ya later, fucker!" and I played this game and loaded up his save file and was right at the first Regenerator encounter and splooshed all fart gas and was trapped in Fearlocke for the entire duration of trying to beat the Regenerator - in a game I never played before. 1 Week after this incident, RE4 became one of my most favorite and replayed games ever

I mentioned it before but for anyone reading this section, I'll say it again - do NOT skip the shooting ranges. Each new range has a new gametype available with six bottlecaps to be won, and winning all six in a gametype rewards money. 15,000 for the first, 25,000 for the second, 35,000 for the third and a sweet 50,000 for the fourth, for 125,000 altogether. If they had got all that along the way then they would've been able to buy that armour and some upgrades, so definitely a minigame worth doing ;)

Played this game when I was older so I found nothing really scary, the clock tower for SNES I find scarier. A drawing of a monster, sprite art, descriptions or putting the monster in shadows, anything but a perfect flawless 3D model to leave nothing to the imagination. If you want it scary, I consider this more of an action game.

Ok, ok, ok.This is bugging me. to no ends. the spinels, which have the stress on the "e", are the common treasure found in the village. The velvet blues are the common treasures of the castle, which are added to finding spinels, and then the emeralds are the common treasure of the island, added to the velvet blues and the spinels. the common treasure you find most in a certain area pertains to the area you're in. Ex: you find the velvet blues most in the castle. Also, the values of the treasures go up with each treasure. The spinels are worth 2,000 Pts, the velvet blues are worth 2,500 Pts, and the emeralds are worth 3,000 Pts. So there, Pat. I've answered the nagging question: "What are the emeralds for?"

I only knew of this because I watched the Freelance Astronauts' playthrough of this, but if you take the striker and you shoot them to the left of the bottom of the ribs, to the right on the same side, and once around the lower stomach (but just above the pelvic region) you generally tend to hit all the spots, saves you rifle ammo if you're low

the easy babby way of killing regenerados is the mine thrower cuz it will hit all the parasites when it explodes. you can kill standard ones in one to two shots, and iron maidens in 2 to 3 because of the one extra parasite on their backs.

NaotaInka Not every single scenario. It's the best weapon for fighting the El Gigante, and if you keep it around you can fall back on it when ammo for more important guns is low. First gun you run to upgrade? Not the TMP, but it's a good place holder when you're low, especially since, as Pat has shown, you get loads of ammo for it anyway, and the 2k you get selling it barely adds up to shit, so it's more valuable putting it into a gigante's face and netting you the 15k a piece for about 2k worth of ammo that you were just going to sell anyway.

Ok, so THIS is section the first thing I'd ever seen/heard/played of Resident Evil. Some ASSHOLE sold me it and a memory card that started at that first typewriter. Just little 6th grade me, sitting in a dark room at 10pm, coming off some damn near perfect Rainbow Road runs in Mario Kart: Double Dash, up against the first horror thing I'd ever played.
