he is right but its hard for women especially mothers to admit their wrong-doings. people start believing they can control everything when they become parents.if pakistani parenting was good , we wouldn't be deteriorating in our social, economical and political lives. we have worst practices of parenting and raising children, but people find it hard to admit that they are wrong.

In foriegn countries it is difficult to make childs check and balance even if the parents say something harsh they they call police and especially in case of females....so Desi mothers are good and they do care a lot of child --of course these are their property and what in foreign country the parents when get older they cannot put them in the same house ......

To save a child from wrong doings, we don't need to say harsh things, beat them up, or punishing them, but instead we should have given terbiah to them right after their birth, as a baby learns alot even in when he/she is very little, and tell them about Allah more and more every now and then, and there should be islamic environment in our homes and there should be Islamic tafseer, Quranic recitation being played most of the time at our homes. So if we have developed love and fear of Allah from thier childhood, then definitely, they will automatically abstain from bad doings in their adulthood, even when there is no one watching them, just out of love and fear of their creator.
