Interesting idea, but I think you'd have to do it so the cab was in the middle, with the arms on both sides... then be able to retract the arm way back, so it doesn't get in your way.

@gangesexcavating a 6 way on either end would be great for levelling itself out on demolition rubble. I think they built this machine mainly for earthquake disaster type work...all to common in Japan! I also agree about beefing up the final drives,or even a larger undercarriage like off a zx270lc or larger to add to the stability...now im just rambling LOL

hitachi had a slightly different version of this machine just based off a zx75us size i believe
@JonesDieselPerforman now thats a perfect idea, That makes very good sense. Thats what it would be for, I am sure.

@JonesDieselPerforman but a larger UC would take away from its confined space accessability...

@JonesDieselPerforman I always thought a 6-way blade on each end of the carbody would be a great idea, stability, and wow very useful. If its a 20 ton hoe give it 330 final drives.

@copperheadmarine It would be a good multi-tasking demolition tool in confined locations, I can think of that merit. It would take me some time to get my head around the 2 booms, LOL

i was so confused for like 3 minutes, before realising its not one machine infront of another but one machine ...
