I've got a mono black commander deck that's totally built around this! In addition to bloodletter+RoD, throw in Quietus Spike, Warlock Class, Wound Reflection, Blood Tribute, Scourge of the Skyclaves, Shard of the Nightbringer and a couple others. And the best part? Blitzwing as a commander. Gotta be my favorite deck!

Even with his small sample sizes, the winrates are consistently in a realistic 50-60% range. And calling it a "9-mana combo" is such an embarrassingly disingenuous way of phrasing it. By that logic, Memory Deluge is an "11-mana draw 4".

So far the most consistent and brutal deck seems to be mono-red, with Slickshot Show Off and other Plot cards as well as Monastery Swiftspear for more Prowess triggers. In can kill on turn three, and will almost always kill any opponent on Turn 4. I also draws a ton of cards through Highway Robbery, so killing one Slickshot isn't guaranteed to be enough to live. Ashlizzle played a similar version of this deck, I was really surprised to see how fast damage stacks up once you crew Mindlink Mech with Bloodletter - it's 16 damage to the opponent if unblocked by itself. Lifelink will be almost certainly required in order to survive long enough against Monored in this format.

He's not saying it's a turn 3 win deck, it just makes it super consistent. You either start the hand with the 2 things you need or a way to get either.

@@JaminGray47 I would not be the best person to ask as I only just started casually playing arena again to see whether it is any better than what it was but I had quit playing when the meta was Alrund’s Epiphany and much like this deck you just played control until you got that card and then the deck was setup that it was effectively game (you had “infinite” turns until you won).

Destroys Standard Bo1. The only place that this kind of combo EVER is able to be reliable is game 1 and Bo1. RIP will end the graveyard part of this, the black decks will bring in their extra unconditional removal and get rid of their Cut Downs while the control decks will bring in their sweepers and extra counterspells.

*unlike most jack combo decks this is mostly a fairly standard black midrange-ish deck with lots of removal meaning it's probably pretty good. I'd put money on being able to get to mythic with it. Whether it not it's better with this combo or dealing it it for better cards is another matter though. It's a good deck, not a top deck.
