Elena, I love the innovative stitches you come up with and that you share them with your fellow knitters! When doing a tension gauge swatch, is there any special considerations, or do you count as if it was stockinette-with different numbers? Hope the question made sense.

Thank you so much 😊 It really depends on the stitch. When I knit these types of stitches I usually work backwards by first knitting a swatch knowing how many stitches and rows it is and then measuring it to learn my gauge rather than counting stitches. If there are rows knitted with the carriage in between the long stitches rows I will make a note. For example one row of the pattern could be 2 rows knitted with the carriage and one long stitch. I hope this is somewhat helpful. It is a lot to cover to explain this properly.. But I believe there is no right or wrong way of doing as long as it works for you ♥️

Clever use of manual knitting. Are you familiar with the press off stitch for double bed machines? From the thumbnail, I thought it was that stitch.

Thanks ☺️ are you referring to dropped stitches?

Ohhhh I love the pearl side, What yarn are you using? And the 4 strings, is that not springing out of the needle hats ?

Thank you! Not if using enough weight. The teal yarn is lambswool and the other one merino and cashmere I think, I am not sure 🤗
