It's about force vectors. Without any measures, utility arch has not only vertical but anterior too. By cinch back or lingual crown torque, this force component is reduced and results in solely vertical. Let's say you have applied 100g of force, Some force will cause proclination and rest will intrude. But if you don't allow proclination by cinch or torque, then total force is vertical. Let's assume. If you are injecting any medicine💉 you apply vertical force and there's just one way to flow out. If the syring had holes in it, vertical force will reduce and fluid will squeeze out of other holes. I hope I cleared the query
