Stay safe out there, so many drivers on the road now that believe since they can see 50 feet ahead of themselves that any other driver can see them without headlights. Not true because dark cars don't show on dark roads and light cars don't show on snow or dry salted roads. Massachusetts had a law to use lights when wipers were on, but cops refused to enforce it because they were getting wet enforcing it!
@JimHowDigsDirt2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jack! Wipers on, lights on is a great rule of thumb. Here in Canada cars are supposed to have daytime running lights on all the time, but that isn't enforced either. The trouble with daytime running lights is you see people driving around after dark with only them on and no tail lights. Be safe out there!

That's what I hate about plowing snow. Most folks act like they can't keep their tail at home when the snow comes down. That's how some plows can't do their jobs with more and more folks coming out on the road basically wanting to cause accidents.
@JimHowDigsDirt Жыл бұрын
Yeah, the snow seems to get people on the road for some reason? Maybe they are heading to the store for storm chips? lol
@tomvarano32832 жыл бұрын
I don’t understand why drivers try to pass snow plows. Today we were heading eastbound with 2 trucks one with a double wing and a winged right. Had front and Left wing down. Right wing at about 2 foot off the ground, lowering as the road will widen out. Seconds truck was blades down front and right. Clearing both lanes. Some knuckle head passed between us then lost control in the snow and went on its side. Now we had to stop. Just don’t try to pass snowplows.

It's the engine brake select.. might be different from truck to truck but basically it kind of goes like this From all the way up.. Off 1(lowest) 2 3(highest) It sets the amount of how much engine brake you want to use. That's mostly where it's at with automatic trucks now if you actually have a truck that has a manual in it's usually on the dash and it'll be two switches. On/off 1 2 3
