I don't think I ever noticed a 15 hole harmony drone until I saw this video. Liked it so much that I just placed an order with Elemental Flutes!! I can think of only one other maker (Dana Ross) who produces these.

I really want to get a triple from Dustin- overwhelmed by the variety and this one is stunning. Question - do they take much more air than a single or double? I know it varies- I have some drones (incl one of his!) that takes the same (or less!) air than a single, and a couple drones that I can’t get more than 8 counts of a tone without running out of air… where do these triples fall on that spectrum?

Yes they do take quite a bit more air than a single flute but how much more varies by maker based on back pressure. The triple, when playing all barrels, will take more than a double. You may find that shortening phrasing by playing less notes per phrase or sneeking in some quick breaths will be necessary. That is not a bad thing, just how it is with these doubles and triples.

If I were to get a flute in E and one in A4 that would be played by two separate people, would we be able to harmonize? This would be a 4th interval. I’m thinking of getting the Little Horse A4 and Pre owned Butch Hall flute in E from the website. Thank you.

Yep, fourths apart harmonize very well, as do fifths. So the Little Bird in B and the E would work together as well. 😊
