Ben for practice sessions wait until the driver gives all 5 comments which will greatly improve their feedback. I always run hard tired for 20 laps and they will get all 5 feedback comments in time. Then adjust the car accordingly. Im able to get 2 feedbacks per practice session. And by quality both my drivers are 95% confidence. I run 1 set of hards for p1, set of mediums for p2 and softs for p3. 1 tire per practice session and thats it. That way I never use too many tires and 100% tires for the race. Also for quali I send them out the second q1 starts for a banker lap. Then I wait around 2:30 left in session to send both guys out. That way they go out last and when the track is at its highest grip

I think you should recheck your strategy... Even if you only use 1 set of hards for an entire session, 2 sets of dry compound are returned to Pirreli after each session, meaning you are most likely losing a set of 100% softs as well.

Quick question - don't you lose 2 sets of tyres at the end of each session, regardless if you used 2 or not? I don't think your strategy works, because you're basically giving a free unused set of tires away. better strat = to do exactly what you're doing, but for each long run, slap a new set of tires on the car. P1 = Hard / Soft P2 = Soft / Soft P3 = Soft / Medium (and run that last Medium for even longer to ensure 100% track acclim)

Regarding the driver feedback: you need to let them drive on hards for like around 20 laps. That's how I do it all the time. Continue to do so as well in the other practice sessions. I got 100% for Bottas and 99% for Zhou at Monaco. Also, the laptimes in practice are bugged I guess. Bottas went P1 or so in Miami in FP2, Zhou did the same in FP3.

Y’all are all idiots lmao, it took me 2 race weekends to get a rhythm down. You sim FP1, take part in FP2, and sim to the the race. 100% track acclimation, and 90% or higher set-up confidence. Every time.

1. Scout drivers/staff to know their expectations as well as their attributes 2. Signing drivers is more expensive than you may think. Free agents are way cheaper and you may get a mega deal after the end of the season 3. Inexperienced drivers cannot push to the limit and struggle for pace, prone to mistakes, lock ups, poor management of tyres amd/or fuel etc. Quite annoying ngl 4. Dont be afraid to develop the car and spend the resources. Wind tunnel time (and the second resource I cannot now remember how it is called) renew each period. 5. Gasly seems to be godly in the game, managed to win with him twice in Alpha Tauri, with the blessings of safety car. But he was very consistent and delivered 90% of the time. 6. Dont forget to research in case of reg change, will save the development and allow you to have an upper hand in the next season 7. Good luck and have fun! :)

@@Irevoltnow Definitely, that will allow you to be better prepared in terms of these parts base values for the next season, and you wont have to spend as much of the resources to design them. So depending at what point of the season you are now and whether you still fight for a place in the standings, dedicate appropriate portion of resources towards the new regs research Edit. Within reason and your budget try to invest into your facilities as well, such as wind tunnel and cfd simulator - seem to have biggest impact on the design of new parts.

I love this game soo much. I chose Aston Martin, as I love their livery and while I had massive problems not unlike yours in the beginning, Sebastian Vettel just scored the first points in my first season for Aston Martin in France and I can clearly see progress. While I originally feared this would only be a licensed version of the Motorsport Manager, I think this game nailed balancing in terms of making progress, focussing on next season without getting overpower too quick. I hope this pace continues throughout further seasons with it not getting too easy to just win every race.

U still get overpowered too quickly in my 3rd season red bull is clearly The best car and then comes me(williams stronger in low speed corners) and ferrari(terrible in low speed corners great in the rest) and merc (good but not great all around) all 3 of US r fighting for 2nd place in constructors, williams would Never get this good this quickly, RN im 30 points behind ferrari and 10 ahead of merc and i also have the weakest driver line up with gasly and piastri, gasly is 4th in the drivers behind verstappen perez and sainz

Soft is always the worst race tire, doesnt matter the race medium to Hard is the best strategy if it is a track with low tire deg Just tell them to push like crazy and if the tires wont last make 2 mediums stints and then a hard stint and push the whole race

Ben your new wind tunnel time etc in 21 days and have 57 hours remaining so probably you will have 30+ left when it go back up you have to put more time in parts the best thing you can do is 2 parts a period every time

Hey loving your videos. Just as a heads up. The Devs explained that the fuel rate shown is what your current consumption is for the positioning of your car. So it's "if your car stayed in this location, fuel rate, etc. Until the end of the race." Not a fan of it but hope that helps.

Me playing AlphaTauri, I got Piastri for 660,000 per season, with 55k bonus if he make P10 (as TSU was horrible to rise to P12, not talking about points) ... oh my, his second race he made P1 (I forgot at him during race, and let him drive his pace...upsss...I was shocked when "yeah, Piastry won the race") and his worst was P7. He's machine in my AlphaTauri. My team ended season 4th in constructors, Gastly ended 5th in Drivers with one P1 and six podiums, Piastry P10!! with that single podium he took as a King ... wonderful result for the driver who came into team mid-season. Btw. did I said I completed my 2025 target (6 podiums during the season) in first 2022 season? :D :D

Was gunning for my first double points finish at Miami. Both cars ran out of fuel on the last lap, luckily Lando was about 10m from the line and rolled over. Danny Ric didn't make it though 😭

I swear piastri is not 75 rated in that game! I am alpine and ocon was getting not points at all for a few races and crashed twice so I decided to replace him with piastri and then he started beating Alonso and getting average 6ths and sometimes even beating the Mercedes’ and once got a podium! And no safety car for the entirety of the season? In Miami I got 3 safety cars

Ben you need to run for 16-20 laps to get full setup feedback. Also you can use a setup template you can find online as a starting point and use the setup calculator (also online) to help fine tune the setups to get 90%+ every race.

A great tip is to use old Motors and ERS and Gearboxes during training beczuse otherwise u will have to make alot of new engines and stuff later on and take alot of pens

getting into a DRS train is key for the game as it will allow a driver to be able to drag themselves so much farther up the field then they should be so ya I would agree that driver stats dont entirely matter but they are still good (for example Piastri will be bad on his tires because his smoothness rating is garbage)

Wait until you get a 97% setup confidence and then the game crashes before you can save it... It's heartbreaking. 😖😂 Also, the way AI behaves when other cars are around us truly awful... There's two car lengths worth of track to pass a slow car and they just hit the brake. During qualifying if someone is on in/out lap while you're on a fast lap, just bring the car in. And during the race, the competing AI sometimes forgets to accelerate out of the corner, and if you're cought behind them, there goes your DRS lap. Frontier have work to do... The game they released is almost perfect. But the driving simulation is a bit garbage.

I've only played 10 races so far, but in the last race there were 7 retirement. And there have been retirements in almost every race. My season started kinda bad and board was giving me hard time. Then I got Norris (McLaren is my team) in the third spot a few laps before end and he drives to the wall and breaks his car. So stuff happens to you and others from time to time.

All the same mechanics (And bugs/features) as motorsport manager, cant help but think it uses the same/similar code, just seems to behave very similarly like with the spikes in pace etc
