Two flights have been scheduled to land in Brisbane tonight carrying Australian tourists who became stranded in New Caledonia after riots broke out last week. Meanwhile, Defence Minister Richard Marles has visited Solomon Islands to meet with new prime minister Jeremiah Manele. Foreign affairs reporter Stephen Dziedzic tells The World’s Beverley O’Connor it wasn’t an easy to process to get these planes into New Caledonia.
