A level crossing found within Stonehouse a few miles south of Gloucester and just west of Stroud. This level crossing has two full-road-width barriers, as well as two fairly quiet alarms which both produce very similar and really quite faulty tones, and it's unusual to have both of two alarms at level crossings going so faulty at the same time. This level crossing is found just south of Standish Junction and is used by trains heading towards Bristol via Yate and Filton.
In the first of two lowerings, an East Midlands Railway class 170 is seen completely out of place! It was running as an empty stock movement from Bristol to Etches Park in Derby, and it was very odd to see a train which you'd expect to find around the East Midlands (Derby, Nottingham, Lincoln etc.) all the way in the Bristol area.
Thanks for watching!
