I love the openness of shorty September- I read whatever I want that in under 250 pages and it clears so many books off my lists!😂 I also really love that Shaketember gives me the nudge I often require to read plays! I don’t usually pay attention to the prompts or group reads, though last year I did read Antony and Cleopatra with them. This year I don’t even know what the reads are!😂 Excited to hear about the 2025 reading challenge ❣️

They're doing 6 group reads this year! Cymbeline was one of them and fit with other prompts, so I'm going with that one. I do try to read one Shakespeare a year anyway, so that's a good a time as any. I can't wait to share my 2025 reading challenge!

I haven’t read any of these, but the TBR sounds great! That’s so cool that you teach music as well as incorporating music within your church. I’m also hoping to read at least one Shakespeare this September and definitely some for shorty September. I hope you have some 5 star reads waiting for you in that TBR! Yes, I started writing monthly lists some years back after listening to Modern Mrs. Darcy talk about it. Now it's morphed into my monthly TBR, but it's the same basic idea!

The Blue Cloak was VERY good. I own/have read all of the books in the series. I love Terri Blackstock and have the series you showed on my Libby wishlist. The 5 Little Peppers is so cute. Several years ago, I worked with a gal named Cymbeline!! I've never heard about the Shakespeare piece...you expose me/us to literature/classics too, reminds me to try and be well-rounded!

Oh wow I've never known anybody with that name. I had not heard of that particular play by Shakespeare until a couple years ago from The Bookish Princess here on BookTube. Even then, I didn't realize it was a Shakespeare play right away, all I knew is that she had named her cat that. 😂

Jennifer Delamere writes really good stories. My favorite of hers is called The Captain's Daughter and it's the first in a Victorian historical fiction series following three sisters.😎📚

The Blue Cloak has a "horror"-ible scene. And the murders in that... BRUTAL. So... I think it totally fits. There are like 8-10 ish Pepper books. I have most if not all of them. ... and how they grew, midway, Ben Pepper, Phronsie Pepper... etc. Cathe Golkhe is great. I've been told it's pronounced "GOL-kee." So, assuming I've been told correctly...

Ugh it's so frustrating when I do that to myself. Thankfully, I haven't done it too often! I haven't read any Shakespeare yet this year, either, and I try to read one or two every year. I started Othello earlier this year and that didn't go well. LOL And yay! I'll lhave at least one person with me on my challenge. 😁

I’d totally read either of these with you. 451 has been on my TBR and I haven’t read Cymbeline. I really need to get my TBR settled. I finish my big read tomorrow and I’m going to film a review. Oh, I loved the If I Run series. I think you’ll like it as well. I’m not a big fan of J’Nell- she’s a hit or Miss like your sister said. I have planned a challenge for myself in 2025. I was gonna invite others, but I don’t have a big channel. Like yours it’s focused on my reading goals. Congrats on your anniversary.
