Just found your channel and ejoying it alot! Im an old Army brat myself. Dad was stationed at Ft.Hood TX after leave on his return from Vietnam in late 1970 and we spent our longest time ever at any 1 post there. Was a freshman when i got there and graduated from KHS well before returning to Oregon after he retired in 75. Go Roo's!!! Went back once for 20 year reunion and i dont think Killeen had improved much. On post had gone downhill for sure, at least at our old quarters. Dad was an NCO so we lived across the train tracks from the golf course on the Officers quarters side not far from the old 1st Cav stables if i remember correctly. Great videos, i love aviation and thank you both for your service!!! Oh man, have to add, i could hardly believe you both managed to get so many postings together!!! Pretty cool!

enjoying the channel and the Honda Jet ops. A little info about the airspace your flying in: I was a controller at Washington Center from 2003-2016 and worked the airspace you were flying in on this flight. Climbing northwest as you were it's impossible not to get incremental climb clearances as you got on this flight. Your climbing at 90 degree angles across major SW departure flows out of the DC and NY metro airports over the GVE and MOL VORs. The airspace is cut up into low and high altitude sectors with the lows owning up to FL230 and the highs everything above that. You'll only get cleared to 230 and then shipped to the high sector. As you get west of the MOL VOR, your then crossing DC arrivals coming over BKW VOR eastbound, descending. West of that flow, your crossing the DC and NY departures heading to the west coast, climbing. So, its a busy area for departures and arrivals and it's hard not to get step climbed until you get further west. Stay safe and keep the video coming.

Great flight with your brother Bill, nice to hear some of the history & your service. I spent a fair bit of my youth with trips to US, but never did the Michigan area. I have cousins on east coast & became a Eagles fan from '89 from Randal Cunningham's days. I enjoy flying this jet on MSFS around the UK, but lots of new jets coming in sim that I'm looking forward too on there from the airliners, bizz jets & turbo props. May all your landings be safe & thanks for sharing.

Big time RESPECT…. Love all the old photos and the Recap of you and your brother’s time in the military! I was an Air Force brat, grew up at the end of the flight line at Barksdale AFB…. Have a Blessed Day!!!

Love the flight and each of your backgrounds. I would love to see the end and the beginning of the flight. Beginning- fueling the jet up, loading your bags, and pre flight check on the outside of the aircraft. End- parking/ taxing the jet, exiting the aircraft, and maybe a final walkaround. Premier 1 driver does something similar. Love the plane and so jealous!! Also, I live in Harpers mill in chesterfield, always willing to take a flight. 😂

So a question on range. If it’s you in the plane and it’s full of fuel, is that the quoted range, or is quoted range based on capable payload, I.e. 4 passengers, luggage, crew of two?
@bluemaxsix
@bluemaxsix Жыл бұрын
Fuel load vs payload is always a trade off. I've found the published numbers to be just a tad on the conservative side. Remember that HondaJet is giving you NBAA standards. Today, I flew with 2070 lbs of fuel, me + 2 pax,2 dogs, and close to 400 lbs of baggage. I was 500lbs below max gross weight at takeoff. We flew 1.7 hours with an addition.2 of grond time with engines turning. 585nm at FL430. I landed with 780 lbs of fuel remaining

@bluemaxsix
@bluemaxsix Жыл бұрын
@justinparker7795 great question. I run 5 cameras looking at different views Pilot, Cockpit, Nose, Panel, & Wing. That's a lot of views to synchronize and edit. Each camera view was at the specific request of viewers. Biggest issue I have is that some cameras start to shut down due to battery or temp at different time which can limit which ones I have left to edit into the final video.
