Delicious deserts indeed. For a long time I couldnt roll pastry (waiting for hand surgery) so I used the pre rolled flaky pastry for the Apple Tart. Time I made it again, feeling inspired.

Love it that you are also Gluten-Free. The lemon tart is a familiar recipe to me, but the apple tart is like nothing I've ever seen before, and I plan to make it someday. Your desserts look lovely! Thank you for sharing these recipes! ❤

Do you have Werther's Originals over there? A hard buttery creamy caramel candy. My Grandma was once given about a 2 lb bag of them in the nursing home, and my mom had to take them away and figure out what to do with them. She smashed them with a hammer and sprinkled them on Dutch apple pies. Absolutely delicious and they melted right into the apples.

Two of my most favourite desserts! When we visited France in our younger better income days, we always used to buy a tarte au citron for me and my OH always had flan or creme caramel. It was always the "last day of the holiday" treat. I also liked far Breton, think it was, with the prunes. I have made clafoutis a few times, when we kept chickens, easy and used up any eggs and fruit we had. But I have never had a go at any tartes. Thank you for your lovely recipes, I shall try these out when the weather cools down x

Lovely desserts thank you Jane. I have only nateral yoghurt and redcurrants from the garden but like you I just use whatever I have... Delicious. Saves washing up to partially cook the apples in the tin instead of using a pan.

Oh my, I'm slavering now! You got the tarte tatin out of the tin all right then?! Never really got a satisfactory answer out of anyone why you can't get 'proper', non-uht, pasteurised cream out here, (or rarely, I used to get something close from a 'voisins des paniers' direct buying scheme once). But creme fraîche will do nicely!
