Thanks for making me feel better fellas. This morning I fought one similar in size. I was fishing by myself. It was pulling my small Pelican boat around the lake. I had to the boat twice. The second time I went to net it and it dove under the boat and away it went. Musky heart break.

Also if you are on Webster lake and you were to come back in like late June I would recommend using perch looking bates because me and my dad perch fish Webster and them big Muskies will lay under our boat and wait for us to get one the dart out from under out boat and grab our perch. Idk if that could help you in the future

Had a musky that swiped at a rapala once and got hooked by one hook on the top of its head and I somehow got it netted. Probably my largest "hooked" fish I ever got with a witness. Was 45 inches easy. Didn't weigh or measure just one pic and let it go. Not bad for shore fishing Monona.
@thelonesomefisherman74253 жыл бұрын
Well, that does suck. Not much one can do when the fish are hooked by the tail. I guess the fish have to win once in awhile just to keep the fisherman coming back. Good luck on Green Bay.

Tough net job for Robbie there. The one little flaw he made was that he let the rim of the net touch the fish's head. The second mistake Robbie made is that you need to immediately lift the net up into the scoop, especially with a backwards net job like that. My dad failed to net my first big fish several years ago since he failed to lift the net. He had the entire fish in the bag, but he didn't lift up. As a result, the fish was able to "swim" and scurry over the rim of the net, just like in this video.

Because it was in the mouth initially then came out and rehooked. Still an eat and was unintentional.

It's kinda weird to me that you have a 50" class fish wanting to eat and I keep seeing a lot of talking with the hands while you have a bait in the water. Real good way to get ate, and not be able to do a thing with it (forehead slap)
