Weaving with two shuttles can be a bit of a challenge, especially for a newish weaver, but if you follow these two methods - and yes there are TWO methods here, so it's worth watching to the end of the video, weaving with two shuttles will soon become second nature to you. it will also lay the foundation for weaving with more than two shuttles.
Whether you are weaving on a rigid heddle loom, a table loom or a floor loom, knowing how to manipulate multiple shuttles efficiently can save loads of time, and limit the amount of frustration that comes with having to untangle endless long ends of weft - in short it is all about method and control.
I hope this little video will help you to become a more efficient weaver!

Saved. My first weaving project (ever) needs the colors to alternate. I was excited to start weaving yesterday after many hrs of prep, but a few inches in, I decided I needed to be patient and catch a few of these tutorials before proceeding. Thank you for your well-made video!

Hi Amy. I hope you won't mind if I give you the same advice that I give to my new weavers all the time: Be kind to yourself - your first piece won't be your masterpiece. Give yourself permission to play, because we all learn through play, and give yourself permission to make mistakes, because we all learn through making mistakes. Not everything you weave needs to be 'something', sometimes we can weave something just to see if our ideas will work - if they do, that's great. If they don't then we have learnt something. This is a wonderful and absorbing craft - I wish you much joy and many happy hours at your loom.
