How did you learn PDR? Self taught or did you learn from a mentor?

Had a hailstorm at my body shop in 2011 and a guy worked there for 6 months and I watched and would borrow his tools when he went home for the weekend. And then Doug took me on my first hailstorm to Pa 1 year later .
