the smile at the end was so joyful. almost like he just realized he was loved so dearly for reasons he'd believed the songs were just songs. i'm 27, i heard this album for the first time at 17. it was beyond important, close to holy, in my understanding of things. i was a musician with no grasp of music's potential. that all changed after KoCF pts. 2-3 kicked in. i'm still a fan and now i make good music! so many moments with that voice warming me.

I saw him last week. he asks the audience to sing. he knows we all know it. I was amazing! as the mountain goats once said when covering this song, "I haven't properly learned all the lyrics. In the event that I ruin them... there's at least one of you out there living and dying with the wonderful song. " CHECK! I can tell you almost everyone in Oakland last week, including me, is living and dying with this song. Thanks Jeff. So gracious and always unexpectedly fresh.

I was there too and the first few songs, we didn't seem sure if we SUPPOSED to sing along because of how quiet and intimate it was. Of course, with "Holland" and on, we lightened up but it was great to be able to sing along without being unsure about it.

Verse 1] Two-headed boy All floating in glass The sun it has passed Now it's blacker than black I can hear as you tap on your jar And I am listening to hear where you are I am listening to hear where you are [Verse 2] Two-headed boy Put on Sunday shoes And dance round the room to accordion keys With the needle that sings in your heart Catching signals that sound in the dark Catching signals that sound in the dark [Chorus] We will take off our clothes And they'll be placing fingers Through the notches in your spine And when all is breaking Everything that you could keep inside Now your eyes ain't moving, now They just lay there in their climb [Verse 3] Two-headed boy With pulleys and weights Creating a radio played just for two In the parlor with a moon across her face And through the music he sweetly displays Silver speakers that sparkle all day Made for his lover who's floating and choking with her hands across her face [Chorus] And in the dark we will take off our clothes And they'll be placing fingers through the notches in your spine And when all is breaking Everything that you could keep inside Now your eyes ain't moving, now They just lay there in their climb [Verse 4] Two-headed boy There's no reason to grieve The world that you need is wrapped in gold silver sleeves Left beneath Christmas trees in the snow And I will take you and leave you alone Watching spirals of white softly flow Over your eyelids and all you did Will wait until the point when you let go [Outro] Eh-dee-ee-ee-ee-ee-ee-ee Dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee Dee-dee-dee-dee-dee, dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-da-doo
