As a tow truck driver who tows these type of vehicles this hits the nail on the head 100%. I tell all my friends and family to always look for and read signs before randomly parking somewhere. The signs arent there for no reason and this place has a TON of them.

There are plenty of illnesses or conditions that aren't apparent which means a person can't walk very far. Someone may look fit, but have circulatory, heart or neural conditions which means they can only walk short distances before needing to sit down again. I know a few people who have been treated as drunks because they have MS but the ignorant jump to conclusions.

The reason for this is because MS "drunkness" is typical of standing up too rapidly - lightheadedness - and stumbling is due to an inner ear problem - which more resembles the stumbling of a senior citizen than it does an actual drunk. Being confused as a drunk as a poorly controlled diabetic prone to lower blood sugars - due to the confusion, slurred speech, slow reaction times, stumbling, etc. - is far more common than it is for MS patients to be dubbed "drunk".

Matt561, could not agree more. What I see a lot are people who may have had an issue at one time but who maintain the handicapped plackard just because they are lazy. The owner of the gym I used to go to has one and still uses it. Apparently he was injured several years ago and was on crutches back then. But now he is perfectly fine but still parks in handicapped spots. This guy is a total scumbag. I also see this kind of abuse of the disability system a LOT here in Florida. Seems that half the population is on some disability but they all get around better then I do and take trips to Europe and such. Right. They are so disabled but can take a 19 hour ride on an airliner to Europe and deal with the airline terminals and such. Hmmmm.

I'm a retired Cop and LOVE this channel. Sadly though these idiots call the station and claim their car was "stolen" 99.9% of the time. By the time I got there it was in the system or I called the tow company named ON THE BIG HUGE SIGNS to ask if they had it. "Yep..we have it." No matter how mad people get for being towed trust me, they go postal when a Cop won't drive them to the tow company. "Does my car say Taxi? And how much have you had to drink tonight? I'll pop you the second you leave the yard for DUI. So NO!"
