Two in a Quickdraw Different Builds Compared!

In this video we see ChipWit playing two different builds on the same inner sphere heavy hero mech, the QuickDraw IV.
In the first build we are trying to maximize the quirks. The mech is armed with two Light AC 5, two ER Medium Lasers and two MRM 10s. The game is played on the Grim Plexus Map.
In the next build we are trying the "Classic" or "Meta" Quickdraw IV build with a pair of MRM 30s only. This one is played on the Solaris City map.
Both were with ONLY 1 play in the mech and that recording was used. Which do you think will perform better? Which do you think is the better use of the mech? Let me know down in the comments what you think!

Weapon combos like the one in the first build rarely work, IMO. The spread of MRMs means they become more efficient at shorter ranges while the ACs deliver pinpoint damage and are best used at medium range. The MRMs are good at removing armor in general while the ACs are better suited for taking out specific components. Those weapons favour different playstyles that don't really mesh well together.

Yeah i dont disagree. Makes me wonder why it's quirked to build it with such a mixed bag

@chipwitgaming Many mechs in the game are just straight adaptations of the tabletop game, where issues like weapon location, line of sight, spread etc. can be treated in a more abstract manner. Those quirks are made to work on paper, not in a 3d environment.

Oh I know. I played Mechwarrior the ttrpg as well as battletech with the minis. Just seems a strange choice. And sometimes, you can get a pretty surprising effective build by following the breadcrumbs
