Newcastle have confirmed the signings of two goalkeepers, John Ruddy on a free transfer and Odysseas Vlachodimos from Nottingham Forest, while also completing the outgoing deals for Elliot Anderson and Yankuba Minteh.

The best way to keep Gordon, Bruno and Isak is to remain ambitious, and that means further ambitious signings to improve the quality of the first eleven. Let's see who we bring in. You do see the word 'amortisation' bandied about as if it were Harry Potter's wand. Some fans seem to forget that when you buy a player in staggered payments - across the rolling three-year PSR period - you may have a small initial outlay, but the other side of it is you are committing funds into future years, limiting your spending in those years. Here's hoping we can bring in some quality players this summer.

Lol, Whilst i have never spoke up on your channel i do love your honesty. I still think Miggy can have something to give but.. Losing Minteh Is devasting to me. And i would swap Miggy for Minteh In a heartbeat, even if it might be a slight gamble as he is so young but i have a feeling he is going to explode & we have just lost the F out.. It really is bloody distressing. What a goddamn shame. I am so bloody pissed off with it. But here we are. Where we get a better prospect for the RW i have no idea, however it is now July and the PSR crap is apparently gone and so we have some boom boom to go and i assume a plan.. Let's fucking hope so! As a Forest supporter, love your rants. Could not agree more with what you rightly and accurately state about PSR and PL corruption. Vlacky will drive you insane. The howlers and poor distribution will cause annoyance. He rarely comes out for crosses and stands on the line with not so good anticipation as a goalie. Abit old for much more development. I'm gutted to lose E, Anderson. To some degree, the club have got to hold their hands up and take responsibility ? Who knows ... The signings, thus far are very uninspiring. As for "kidsbook", & X. I give up on them years ago. There, just ses pits of 😈 Evil😈 . Now, every transfer win, inc Bruno & Issak. We are 'probably ', going to add Gordon to that regular transfer bullshit. We need an S.D , yesterday. I hope some quality names now start coming in.

Gutted to lose elliot anderson & minteh. Minteh would have been the perfect replacement for miggy who is hopefully finally off to saudi but the top 6 tax being what it is i'm hugely relieved that we appear to have got deals over the line to save us from the snakes in suits at the premier league. I really wish elliot well, i think he was underused last season & it's a real shame to have lost such a brilliant prospect. However i think you are spot on chris, if we were to have lost lewis miley in similar circumstances i think it would have been an even bigger blow. Cheers chris, howay the lads!

Sick and tired of how ppl interpreting this. Lets be real, we have not been very successful over the years on the pitch in terms of trophies and league position have we? Now we are talking like entitled fools are we? Its embarassing. Lets be honest with it. Its nothing to do with keeping top 6 as top 6. There has to be a level playing ground at some level. And there has to be some fair reward given for those who have been successful and reap it by being able to spend more through their successes. Before we blame PSR, im afraid we actually have to be patient and take a look at ourselves. The main point of what we did is not even about whether PSR is good or not. These rules have been there and clear to every club, not just to Newcastle. Its about how the people managing the club brought it into themselves the situation where they desperately need to sell before deadline day. There has to be clarity and line draw on where the actual fault is, and responsibility taken. Otherwise im afraid many many supporters confusing whats actually happening and blaming it on PSR and turn blind side to the people whos managing the financial aspect of it. Lets be clear, actually fair in the real responsibility of what caused this. It wasnt suddenly PSR forcing us. The limit has been clear for years. Please think again clearly. We only brought this to ourselves through our lack of financial planning in terms of overspending more than we are allowed to, the same terms every clubs are under. And i repeat, the issue of whether PSR is good or not, is NOT what caused us to sell last minute. That topic should be fairly discussed and deserves its own focus. The real reason we got to this situation is not because few years ago PSR was implemented therefore setting in motion today’s inevitable. No. Its what we did or did not do, leading up to the last minute selling by our overspending or mismanaging of the situation Those who can discern and see clearly the distinction between them, Newcastle will have better future with more supporters like this
